HELEN FAYE (BRYANT) ANDERSON

Helen Faye (Bryant) Anderson, 96, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at the Platte County Nursing Home in Wheatland, Wyoming. 

Helen Anderson was born on Thursday, September 16, 1929, in Tinsman, Arkansas the daughter of Roy and Marie (Porter) Bryant.  Helen was one of nine children, five brothers, James, William, Roy Austin “RA”, Charlie, and Johnny; and three sisters, Midy Jane, Era, and Carolyn. Jimmy Lewis was a nephew but was always considered “one of the brothers.”

Helen married Richard Anderson on October 19, 1945, in Arkansas.  They met in Little Rock, Arkansas while he was in the service.  When Richard was discharged from the Army they moved to his home in northern Wisconsin upon marriage, where they had three children, Pat, Don, and Terry.  From Wisconsin they traveled back and forth to Wyoming where Richard worked in the timber industry in Elk Mountain, Foxpark, and Granby, Colorado.  Helen and Richard permanently moved to Foxpark, Wyoming in 1963.  It was at this time that they had their fourth child, their daughter, Pam.  They made the Laramie and Wheatland areas their permanent home.

Helen was preceded in death by her daughter, Pam and husband, Richard.
