HOWARD S. BISE

A funeral service for Howard S. Bise, 77, will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Slater Hall near Wheatland, Wyoming.  
Howard Bise passed from this world into eternity with his Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Platte County Memorial Hospital in Wheatland.

Howard was the first child born, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to William and Mary (Blanchard) Bise. He was raised in Westwego, Louisiana.  As a young man, Howard discovered that he was intrigued with welding, leading him to pursue the trade of pipefitter/welder.  From this point forward, Howard worked out of the local union in New Orleans.

In 1979, Howard moved his family to Colorado City, Colorado, where he planned to breed and raise Appaloosa horses.  At this time, Howard also worked on the construction of the Laramie River Station Power Plant in Wheatland.  Howard met Peggy Lauck and they were married in Amite, Louisiana, on August 20, 1982.

In 1983, Howard and Peggy moved to Wheatland. At this time, Howard followed the pipelines working as a pipefitter/welder in various states.  Michael joined their family in 1989 and Stephen in 1997.  Howard and Peggy enjoyed raising their boys on the Slater Flats. In Howard’s later years he worked for WYDOT and the Wheatland Irrigation District.

In Howard’s leisure time he took pride in keeping up his small acreage, gardening, and mowing.  One of his favorite hobbies was playing his alto and soprano saxophones.  As birthdays came around in the family, Howard made it his honor to provide the family’s favorite, fried shrimp.

Howard was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandpa and will be greatly missed.

Howard is survived by his wife, Peggy, of 39 years; his son Michael (Marisha); grandchildren, Carter, Sierra, and Harper, all of Wheatland; sons, David Bise and Paul Bise, both of Louisiana; siblings, Charles Bise, Lloyd Bise (Debbie), and Barbara Rodrigue (Chris); and he is also lovingly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. 

Howard was preceded in death by his son, Stephen Bise.
