Funeral services for Jason Kain Burrell, 47, will be held Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 2:00pm at the First Baptist Church in Douglas, Wyoming with Pastors Bill Williamson and Zack Andrews officiating and Janae Archuleta as the eulotist. Interment will be in the Douglas Park Cemetery.

Jason died on Friday, July 8, 2022 at the Memorial Hospital of Converse County in Douglas.

He was born Sunday, November 17, 1974 in Casper, Wyoming, the son of James Franklin and Jeanie Ray (Hill) Burrell. He was reared and educated in Douglas, Wyoming.

Jason was a man with the biggest heart and the kindest soul. This world could use more Jason's. He had many great loves in his life, the top being his pride and joy, his son, Jack, his Atlanta Braves, his Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Douglas Bearcats, cooking, poker, and his family. Jason loved to cook, working at McDonalds, the LaBonte, Chutes, Village Inn, and most recently, the Douglas Care Center where he had never loved a job more.

He is survived by his mother, Jeanie (Quay) Hornbuckle of Douglas; son, Jack Burrell of Douglas; siblings, Janae (Allen) Archuleta of Douglas, Jackie (Thom) McAleer of Leawood, Kansas, Todd (Tamara) Hornbuckle of Boise, Idaho, Rhonda (Alan) Wilson of Evergreen, Colorado, Cody Hornbuckle of Douglas, and Kade Hornbuckle of Morrison, Colorado; grandfather, Charlie Webb of Douglas; grandmother, Rose Taylor of Douglas, and his numerous nieces and nephews, who he was so proud of.

He was proceeded in death by his father, Jim Burrell on July 18, 2013; paternal grandparents, Frank Burrell on August 9, 2015 and Norma Burrell on October 27, 2011; maternal grandparents, Marion Hill on July 12, 1977 and Shirley Hill Webb on August 2, 2007; and uncle, Bill Hill on May 21, 1980.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Rhett Williams, Jayden Archuleta, Carter Archuleta, Todd Hornbuckle, Cody Hornbuckle, Kade Hornbuckle, Mike Leinweber, and Kenny Chizek.

Memorials sent to either the Douglas Bearcat Football Booster Club or the Douglas Bearcat Wrestling Booster Club, 1701 Hamilton Street, Douglas, Wyoming 82633 would be appreciated by the family.
