JOHN PAVEY Obituary

Funeral services for John William “Johnny” Pavey,44, will be held on Friday, July 29, 2022, at 2:00 P.M.  at the First Baptist Church in Douglas, Wyoming with Pastor Zack Andrews officiating.  There will be a picnic to follow at Washinton Park.

Johnny died in the early morning on Friday, July 22, 2022.  He was at his place of work in Briggsdale, Colorado and suffered from an Asthma Attack. 

Johnny was born on Saturday, September 17, 1977 in Douglas, Wyoming, the son of Skip Pavey and Kathleen “Kitty” (Bronson) Russell.  He was reared and educated in Douglas. 

He was married to Tommie Lynn (Ketner) Pavey on June 26, 2005 at Kenneth and Dorothy Taylor’s ranch.  John and Tommie were separated, but remained friends and were raising their girls together. 

John’s five daughters were his whole heart, he loved them all deeply.  He loved spending time with family and enjoyed big family get-togethers.  He loved food, friends, and time in the outdoors.  He had a generous spirit and would give anyone the shirt off his back. 

He spent all his adult life working in the oil field. 

He is survived by his wife, Tommie Pavey of Douglas; five daughters, Celeste Gray (Dustin Lawson), Lucy Pavey, Shelby Pavey, Molly Pavey, and Andie Pavey, all of Douglas; three grandchildren, Marlee, Odin, and Macie all of Douglas; two brothers, Jimmy Pavey of Douglas and Robert (Christi) Pavey of Casper, Wyoming; one sister, Kristi (Martin) Ortega, of Douglas; and several nieces and nephews all of Douglas.  He is also survived by his girlfriend, Candice Martinez, of Glenrock, Wyoming. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest “Skip” Pavey and his mother Kathleen “Kitty” Russell. 

In lieu of flowers a John Pavey Memorial Fund has been established at Converse County Bank, P.O. Box 689, Douglas, Wyoming 82633.
