A graveside service for Jolene (Alworth) Lukens, 69, will be held at Wheatland Cemetery in Wheatland, Wyoming at 1:00 P.M. followed by a memorial service at 2:00 P.M. at The Moose Lodge #1636 in Wheatland on Saturday, July 17, 2021.
Jolene Lukens passed away in Glendale, Arizona on Thursday, June 17, 2021.
Jolene was born Thursday, January 10, 1952 on her father’s birthday, Joel Emmons Alworth in Wheatland, Wyoming. Her mother was Clarice Lillian (Dey) Geiger.
Jolene attended Wheatland High School. She was a third-generation member of the Women of the Moose fraternity. She loved showing dogs and won many ribbons and trophies for her Chow Chows. She was very proud of her champion dog, Jay Jay. She was a sports fanatic and loved the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. She loved decorating for every holiday and season. She had a green thumb and was exceptional at reviving and growing plants and flowers.
She is survived by her sister, Louise (Ellis) Howell; her brothers, Donald Ellis and Frank Geiger; her children, Shelly Lukens, Andrea Lukens, Ryan Lukens, Brittany Lukens, Dylan Lukens, and Dallas Montgomery. She was Grandma Jo to Nicholas, Tyler, Michael, Clarice, Logan, Elijah, Emmersynn, Jayden, Amelia, and Sammy. She was also survived by her ex-husband, Christopher Lukens. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers, Dave Zwart and Andrew Alworth.
