Funeral services for Joseph Peter Emily, 63, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, November 10, 2023 at the Gorman Funeral Homes – Converse Chapel in Douglas, Wyoming with Father Michael Carr of Saint James Catholic Church officiating.  Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.

Joe died from the result of a farm accident at his farm on Monday, October 30, 2023 in Douglas, Wyoming.

He was born on Sunday, August 28, 1960 in Golden, Colorado the son of Peter P. and Marcie (Schneider) Emily.  Joe was raised and educated in Colorado.  He owned and operated a lawn service-snow removable business prior to moving to Wyoming in 2002.  Joe raised hay/alfalfa on his irrigated farm south of Douglas.

Joe enjoyed fox hunting with his hounds in Colorado.  He also enjoyed pheasant, deer, elk, and antelope hunting and fishing.  He loved living in Wyoming and his farm.

Joe is survived by his life partner, Michelle Rosario of Douglas; daughter, Juliet Emily of Piedmont, South Dakota and his mother, two sisters, and one brother.

He was preceded in death by his father, Peter, on August 24, 2022.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Wyoming Wildlife Federation, 115 Valley View Drive, Lander, Wyoming 82520 would be appreciated by the family.
