A memorial service for Juanita May Boaz, 86, will be conducted on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at 11:00 A.M., at the First Baptist Church in Wheatland, Wyoming with Pastor Phil Benson officiating.
Juanita May Boaz was born Friday, May 20, 1938, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Hazel May (Medlin) Tomlinson and Willis Harold Tomlinson. She peacefully passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at Davis Hospice in Cheyenne, Wyoming leaving behind a legacy marked by love, laughter, and a collection of joyful memories that will sustain her family and friends in the years to come. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, sisters, and by her husband, James C. Boaz.
She served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. At this time in history most women in the military were not able to serve in combat, so she did office work in San Diego, California. She served her country with both distinction and honor.
Juanita lived a life that was a testament to kindness, selflessness, and unconditional love for her family and friends alike. A proud mother, grandma, great grandma and wife, Juanita dedicated her life to her family, always putting their needs above her own.
She is survived by two sons, Brian (Leslie) Boaz of Wheatland, Wyoming and James (Kathryn Croom) Boaz of Bothell, Washington; daughter, Jennifer Summers of Cheyenne, Wyoming; grandchildren, Kerry, Chance, Kypp, Maraynna, Seth, Christina, Savannah, Cole, Lauren, Meredyth; and great grandchildren, Jayse, Nykoda, William, Veda, and James.
