JULIA DEPIETRO Obituary

Funeral services for Julia Beard Depietro, 74, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Unity Christian Fellowship, 501 South Fourth Street, Douglas, Wyoming with Pastor Rich Cullen officiating.  Inurnment will be in the Douglas Park Cemetery.
Julia Depietro died Monday, September 3, 2018 at the Memorial Hospital of Converse County in Douglas.
She was born Tuesday, August 8, 1944 in Pennsburg, Pennsylvania the daughter of Clifford Gunder and Ada Kathryn (Beard) Quigley.  Julia was raised and educated in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, graduating from Pottsgrove Senior High School in Pottstown.  Julia held various secretarial positions following graduation in Pennsylvania.  She was married to James Richard Depietro on January 4, 1964 in Pottstown with two sons, James Michael Depietro and Richard Paul Depietro born to this union joining a sister, Theresa Marie Depietro from a previous marriage of Jim’s.
They moved to Douglas in 1970 and became partners in the Jackalope Gun Shop.
Julia worked for KWIV radio station, Joe Price’s Used Car Lot, Link Oil, and Memorial Hospital of Converse County where she worked for 15 years as a cook and receptionist.  She sold Avon, donating her profit to the Statute of Liberty, where her name appears at the foot of the statute.  She returned to Pennsylvania for short periods of time, but always returning to Douglas.
She enjoyed playing guitar, camping jam sessions, all times of sporting events, and attending sporting events that her sons were involved with.  Julia’s time spent cooking for others and family was her most enjoyable time.
She is survived by her husband, Jim, of Douglas; sons, Jim (Kyla) Depietro of Douglas and Rick (Cindy) Depietro of Boyertown, Pennsylvania; siblings, Randall Beard Quigley of Douglassville, Pennsylvania and Pamela Beard McCoullough of Douglas; grandchildren, Derek Bohlander, Shane Bohlander, Jaise Depietro, Serena Tays, John Depietro, and Matthew Depietro; three great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Julia was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Theresa Mangus; and brother Clifford Beard Quyigley.
Serving as urnbearer will be Jack Reese          
A memorial to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, 26 Broadway, New York, New York 10004 would be appreciated by the family.
