KAREN JEAN (SMITH) OWENS

Karen Jean Owens, 70, passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2025 surrounded by loved ones at the University of Colorado Health Hospital in Aurora, Colorado.

Karen was born Tuesday, December 7, 1954 in Peoria, Illinois the daughter of Donald Richard and Mary Elizabeth (Cook) Smith.

She is survived by her children, Adam (Ashley) Owens, Christine (Shawn) Johnson, Mary Anne (Trent) Hockett, and Randi Lee (John) Moskop all of Douglas; stepsons, Charles Owens and Russell Owens both of Illinois; brother, Mark Smith, of Streator, Illinois; and grandchildren, and grandchildren, Sterling, Camden, Ryker, Maisie, Skyeleene, Acelyne, Kylah, Parker, Trent, Travis, Troy, Mahlah, Mary, and Tristan. 

Karen was preceded in death by her parents and stepson, Christopher Owens.

A Celebration of Life service will be held with her loving family.

The Gorman Funeral Homes-Converse Chapel of Douglas, Wyoming is in charge of the arrangements.
