A graveside service for Kathryn (Weisgarber) Carpenter, 96, was held at the Wheatland, Cemetery, in Wheatland, Wyoming with Pastor Jason Iacovetto officiating.

Kathryn Carpenter passed away on June 20, 2020 at the Douglas Care Center in Douglas, Wyoming.

Kathryn was born on Thursday, August 25, 1923 in Mandan, North Dakota the daughter of Morris and Millie (Wintchell) Weisgarber.

She married Milton Skager. They later divorced. To that union, Leslie “Les” Skager was born.

In March, 1955, she married Howard Carpenter. They settled in Wheatland, Wyoming in the mid 1970’s.

Kathy enjoyed gardening, baking, and crocheting. A big joy for her was to fix a large meal for company.

She is survived by daughter-in-law, Gloria Skager; grandsons, Michael (Kathy) Skager, Daniel (Ashley) Skager; four great grandchildren, and a step-great grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard; son, Les; great granddaughter, Gabrielle Skager; and all her siblings.

The Gorman Funeral Homes – Platte Chapel of Wheatland are in charge of the arrangements.
