Laurie Boyson passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at the Shepherd of the Valley Healthcare Center in Casper, Wyoming after her courageous battle with breast cancer.  Nurturing to the end, she confided to her family that she knew that the end would be harder on them than on herself and encouraged them to keep in mind that she would be reunited with her loved ones that had passed on before her.

Laurie was born Saturday, June 2, 1962 in Forsyth, Montana the daughter of Gordon and Doris Irene (Wertz) Gregerson.

Growing up, Laurie loved to read, to listen to music and spending time with her best friend Betsy. Once she became a mother, she dedicated herself to her daughters, they were her world. Laurie graduated from Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana with a degree in teaching in 1994. She completed her Masters in 2010 and loved her career as the school librarian, where she could inspire the students in Converse County School District. Laurie taught at the Douglas Intermediate and Upper Elementary Schools in Douglas for the last 23 years.

Laurie is survived by her loving husband Barry; two daughters ,Vanessa (Jim) and Shealyn; mother, Doris; sister, Yvette (Terry) Nickisch; brother, Pat Gregerson; brother-in-law, Gary Virtue; stepchildren, Dustin (Jenn) and Reagan (Justin); four grandsons, Charley, Jake, Teigen and Layne; seven granddaughters, Emma, Maggie, Vallie, Raycee, Jordynn, Josslyn, and Kennedy; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Preceding Laurie in death was her father, Gordon Gregerson; sister, Cheryl Virtue; and grandson, Carlin Bender-Hoff.

Laurie had a knack for knowing what to say at just the perfect time, ready with a kind or comforting word, and was always able to bring humor and wit to any situation. She was dedicated to her friends, family and students and those that knew her came away better for having done so. Laurie will be forever loved and missed but not forgotten, her memory will live on through her family and her closest friends, and the multitudes of young students that she influenced positively throughout her teaching career.
