Linda Lea (Jones) Hershberger, 76, of Douglas, Wyoming, peacefully passed away at home, surrounded by loved ones, on Sunday, April 12 2026 after a long battle with Parkinson's.
Lindy was born on Saturday, December 17, 1949, to Glenn Julius and Fanny Evalee (Evans) Jones in Gillette, Wyoming. Although they spent most of Lindy’s childhood moving around. Gillette was what Lindy called home for most of her younger life.
Lindy married her first husband in 1970, which gave her two loving children, Tanya (Hershberger) Miller and Perry Glenn Hershberger. Later, after their divorce, Lindy married her second husband, and the love of her life, Jay “Vinni” Hershberger, on June 12th of 1982. Vinni and Lindy spent 44 amazing years together. Through sickness and health, whether it be Lindy caring for Vinni in their younger years or Vinni taking care of Lindy in her final years and days.
Linda would call Douglas, Wyoming, home for the rest of her life. This is where she would change the world. Working at Brights Café, Pump-n-Pack, the Koop, Safeway, helping her husband at Vinni’s Body Shop, and eventually owning her own coffee hut. Lindy would touch so many souls. She always had a smile on her face and a kind word to brighten your heart. Lindy had a bad habit of always putting others first. This is what made her the one we all love so much.
Lindy’s favorite thing to do was ride motorcycles. Lindy started riding on the back of Vinni’s Harley. From there, she had many different bikes of her own. Anywhere from Harleys to Yamahas, and eventually owning her Honda Goldwing trike. Lindy loved working on and being part of the Bears Den. She got so much excitement out of putting on the poker runs every year.
Lindy was preceded in death by her father, Glenn, in 1993; her mother, Fanny, in 1995; brother-in-law, Kelly Roediger, in 2020; and brother-in-law, Matt Fitzhugh, in 1992.
Lindy is survived by her loving husband, Jay “Vinni” Hershberger of Douglas; sister, Cheryle K. Roediger of Douglas; daughter, Tanya (Tim) Miller of Cheyenne, Wyoming; son, Perry G (Monique) Hershberger of Douglas; daughter, Deborah Fields of North Carolina; son, Michael Hershberger of Missouri; brother, Robert “Bob” Brown of Douglas; 16 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
