MARCIE MARIE (LORENSEN) SMITH

Graveside services for Marcie Marie Smith, 59, will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at the Prairie Rest Cemetery near Guernsey, Wyoming with Jason Short officiating.
Marcie Smith died Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming surrounded by her children.
Marcie was born November 20, 1958 in Weiser, Idaho the daughter of Berne Charles and Virginia Lee (Hagerman) Lorensen.
Before several medical issues, Marcie was a cosmetologist. Marcie was known as a fun-loving and free-spirited woman to all her friends and family. Her positive attitude and love will always be remembered.
Marcie is survived by her loving companion, Robert Martinez of Guernsey; her three children, Jason (Tracy) Short of Archie, Missouri, Shiloh Smith of Wyoming, and Frankie Smith of Cheyenne;  seven grandchildren, Kyler Short, Megan Short, Marcus Short, Silas Short, Alathia Short, Natalie Short, and Serena Short all of Archie; mother, Virginia Abbe; brothers, Brian Lorensen, Clint Abbe, Scott Abbe, David Abbe, and Mark Abbe; sisters, Mona Taylor, Mila Getman, Kay Williams, and Laurie DePretto; and many nieces and nephews.
Marcie was preceded in death by her father, Berne, and sister, Loreen.
Friends and family may call at the funeral home Friday, from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.
The Gorman Funeral Homes – Platte Chapel of Wheatland are in charge of the arrangements.
