Peggy Freouf passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024 at the Goshen Care Center in Torrington, Wyoming surrounded by her family.

Peggy was born at the Scottsbluff Hospital in Scottsbluff, Nebraska on Monday, April 14, 1947 to Clarence F. and Delma P. (Foster) Wilkie of Sioux County, Nebraska.

Peg was raised on the ranch with brothers, Chuck and Myron.  Peg attended school at a one room school house in Sioux County, then to Sioux County High School in Harrison, Nebraska.  She enjoyed school and did very well during her school years.  She came to Scottsbluff to attend Scottsbluff Junior College.  It was there that she met Duane Freouf.  They were married on July 31, 1966 in between hay crops as she was helping her father with the hay that year.

Duane and Peg raised two daughters, Kelly and Amy after moving to Billings, Montana.  During their years in Billings, Peg was involved with YWCA volleyball, Yellowstone Valley Kennel Club, TOPS International, and Yellowstone Rifle Club.  Peg was an excellent mother, seamstress, homemaker, and no one ever left her table hungry!

Peg is survived by her husband, Duane E. Freouf; daughter, Kelly (Bill Sharp) Bailey and Amy (Lance Bark) Szarenski; grandchildren, Ross Howard, Hannah Szarenski, and Luke Szarenski; great granddaughter, Ophelia Howard; brother, Charles (Libbie) Wilkie and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Delma Wilkie; father, Clarence Wilkie, and brother, Myron Wilkie.
