MARGIE FAE (WEBB) NILSON

Margie Fae Nilson, 87, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Margie was born on April 30, 1938 in Gould, Colorado the daughter of James Robert “Bob” and Violet Webb.

Most of Margie’s childhood was in Birch Tree, Missouri with her parents and one brother, James Robert “JB” Webb Jr.  They have all preceded her in death. 

Margie married Merwyn “Mer” Nilson on September 24, 1960 and they celebrated their 65th Wedding Anniversary on September 24, 2025.  To this union one son was born, Lance Nilson.  They spent most of their married life in Rapid City, South Dakota and she partnered with Mer in various business ventures.  Margie and Mer moved to Chugwater, Wyoming in 2016 to join in business with their son and daughter-in-law, Lance and Lilly Nilson in purchasing and operating the Stampede Saloon and Eatery in Chugwater.

The Gorman Funeral Homes – Platte Chapel of Wheatland are in charge of the arrangements.
