Marion Thomas “MT” Lambert, 86, of Wheatland, Wyoming passed away on Friday, October 20,2023 at his home in Wheatland surrounded by family.
MT was born In Missouri on Tuesday, January 12, 1937, to Pete and Rhoda (Snook) Lambert. The family moved west and settled in Wheatland. MT served in the United States Navy, then married Donna M. Holkan in 1961. The couple raised three children, Don, Brenda, and Kelly.
MT was a carpenter, volunteer fireman, auto body repair man, mechanic, and ditch rider. He loved working on small engines and enjoyed woodworking and could repair almost any household appliance. Welding metal and fabrication were also rewarding to MT. He retired from the Wheatland Irrigation District in 2002.
MT loved his family, camping, hunting, joking, laughing, and country music. He spent lots of weekends listening to friends play music while drinking a beer. MT also enjoyed driving around in the mountains, looking at the wildlife and beautiful scenery.
MT is survived by his wife, Donna of 63 years; three children Don, Brenda, and Kelly along with their spouses; eight grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; brother, Albert Lambert; and sister, Elsie Keith along with their spouses.
He was preceded in death by both parents and a sister, Alice Haynes.
MT will be missed by family and many friends.
