“It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Michael Fredrick Hart, age 61, of Glenrock, Wyoming, who passed away on Monday, June 3rd, 2024. He was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, son and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Michael was born on Thursday, October 25th, 1962, in Waterloo, Iowa to Virgil Hart and Rose Marie (Meissen) Hart. He grew up in Belvidere, Illinois and attended Belvidere High School. Michael enlisted into the United States Army within the 82nd Airborne division and served from 1980 to 1984. He had three children: Natasha, Michael Jr, and Jessica. Michael moved to his true home of Glenrock, Wyoming in 1999 where he became a ranch hand and continued his love of crafting while working as a contractor and handy man. “If Mike can’t fix it, no one can.”
Michael never met a stranger. He had a passion for mentoring and would give anyone the shirt off his back. He loved fishing, swimming, horseback riding, and working with his hands. He was a history enthusiast and enjoyed genealogy. He spent the last decade of his life playing Santa in Glenrock/Casper area and enjoyed connecting with the community.
He is survived by his children; Natasha Gowin, Michael (Cindy) Hart, Jessica Hart (Carl Zorzy); grandchildren Corrie Gowin, Jacob Gowin, Jonathan Grondine, Summer Hart, Aubree Hart, Zachary Zorzy, and Adalyn Zorzy; siblings, Cecil (Karla) Hart, Debbie (Bruce) Cline, and Jered (Michelle) Hart; parent, Margaret Hart; many nieces and nephews; and special friends Nancy Marsili, Chris and Savanah Schenck, and the Park Pool Gang; Romona Burton, Jodi Huckstep, Robbi Slothower, Jay Johnson, Joel Palka, Al Helgerson and Brian Piskie.
