A graveside service for N. Jean “Jeanne” Norris, 93, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, February 6, 2026 at the Wheatland Cemetery in Wheatland, Wyoming with Pastor Chris Furl of the Memorial Baptist Church in Wheatland officiating.
Jeanne Norris passed away on Monday, February 2, 2026 at the Granite Rehabilitation and Wellness in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Jeanne was born on Friday, July 22, 1932 in Vancouver, Washington and was raised by her Italian maternal grandparents, Gieuseppe and Angelina Rosellini. She graduated from Providence Academy and then attended the Vancouver Business College. While in high school, she had a poem published in a book of high school anthologies which was distributed in schools all over the United States.
She worked at the Fort Vancouver Army Base and then for Martin-Marietta (Lockeed-Martin) in Denver, Colorado. In 1982 she began working as an assistant supervisor at the University of Colorado Hospital in Denver; she retired in August of 2005 after 23 years. Throughout the years, Jeanne enjoyed the art forums of drawing and painting. She was an avid bowler during her time in Colorado and won many trophies as an individual and team bowler.
She is survived by her three children, Joseph Norris of Wheatland, Sandra Coleman of Arvada, Colorado, and Cindy Denke of Morrison, Colorado.
The Gorman Funeral Homes – Platte Chapel of Wheatland are in charge of the arrangements.
