NANCY LANE Obituary

A Celebration of Life for Nancy Lane will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 5, 2020 at the First Baptist Church in Douglas, Wyoming with Pastor Bill Williamson officiating.

Nancy Ann Lane, 68, died Friday, November 27th, 2020, at her home east of Douglas.

Nancy was born Saturday, October 4th, 1952, in Douglas the daughter of Donald Dean Pellatz and Betty Louise (Lighthall) Pellatz.  She grew up on her parent’s ranch north of Douglas near Bill, Wyoming.  After graduating from Converse County High School in 1971 with honors, she travelled to Washington D.C as part of the Presidential Classroom for Young Americans.

Following graduation, Nancy married Lee Lane in the summer of 1971.  After the wedding, they moved to Arkansas to attend John Brown University, where she studied business for two years.  Nancy and Lee moved back to Wyoming in 1973.  A few years later, they moved to Nancy’s parent’s ranch, where they lived for six years.  Nancy and Lee then moved to Lee’s parent’s ranch east of Douglas in 1981. There Nancy began delivering mail on a rural mail route around Shawnee, Wyoming, and did so for 25 years.

With the birth of their children, Nancy was first and foremost a mother and homemaker.  She was and remained a devoted and loving wife of 49 years.

Later in life, she enjoyed making cards for birthdays and anniversaries, decorating cakes for her grandchildren, sending out Christmas letters, gardening in her flower beds, watching birds that would flock to her bird feeders, and caring for her many pets.

She is survived by her husband, Lee Lane, of Douglas; her son Nathan Lane and his spouse Becky Lane of Douglas, her son Nicholas Lane and his spouse Amanda Lane of Fort Collins, Colorado, her daughter Sarah Repshire and her spouse David Repshire of Douglas, and her son Justin Lane and his spouse Corrina Lane of Douglas; her brothers David Pellatz of Douglas, Carl Pellatz of Platteville, Colorado, and Charles Pellatz of Douglas; her sister Jane Woodward of Casper, Wyoming; her grandchildren Samuel Lane, Thomas Lane, Joshua Lane, Andrew Lane, Lane Repshire, Finn Repshire, Jora Repshire, Kaylee Lane, William Lane, Elijah Lane, Caleb Lane, and Emma Lane; her step-grandchildren Ethan Christi and Rowan Christi.
