ORDELLA BERDINE (MYERS) DOWNS

Funeral services will be held for Ordella Berdine Downs, 87, at 1:30 P.M. Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at the Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery in Evansville, Wyoming with Pastor Roy Phillips of the Douglas Baptist Church in Douglas, Wyoming officiating.

Ordella Downs died Wednesday, July 23, 2020 at the Douglas Care Center in Douglas, Wyoming.

She was born in Gillette, Wyoming on Friday, September 30, 1932 the second of four children born to Forrest and Therma Ordella (Canfield) Myers.  She was raised and educated in Gillette and moved to Thermopolis, Wyoming.  She married George Edward Downs on January 22, 1956 in Casper, Wyoming.  To this union five children were born

Ordella was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, George, on June 4, 2006; her parents; and brother, Merlyn Myers.

She is survived by her children, Glenn (Edith) Downs of Douglas, Annette (Terry) Hilyard of Douglas, Robert Downs of Casper, Wyoming, Earl Downs of Casper, and Carol Haddenham of Evanston, Wyoming; siblings, Mary Jean Scollard of Casper and Bert Wayne (Shirley) Myers of Fort Collins, Colorado; grandchildren, Derrick (Samantha) Elliott, Scott (Melody) Elliott, Shawn (Julie) Downs, George Downs, Amanda (Duane II) Connolly, and Jacob Haddenham; and fifteen grandchildren.

A memorial to the Special Olympics – Wyoming, 239 West First Street, Casper, Wyoming 82601 would be appreciated by the family.
