A celebration of life for Pam Goertz, 72, will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at the United Church of Christ in Wheatland, Wyoming with The Reverend Jennie Ketner officiating. Inurnment will be in the Wheatland Cemetery.
Pam Goertz, of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at the Denver Hospice Center in Denver, Colorado with her family by her side.
Pam was born on Thursday, September 22, 1949, in Wheatland, Wyoming she was the daughter of Dallas and Eunice (Burke) Angle.
She graduated from Wheatland High School in 1968. Following graduation, she attended National School of Business in Rapid City, South Dakota which propelled her into her legal secretary career including positions with Two Bar Ranch Company, Jones Jones Vines & Hunkins, Brown and Drew, and lastly with Holmes Roberts & Owens in Denver, Colorado.
She married Rex Goertz in Wheatland on April 26, 1970. To this union two sons were born, Taylor Cornelius Goertz and Trevor William Goertz. The couple later divorced. Pam dedicated her life to raising and caring for her sons, and seldom missing any of their events.
Pam managed to never miss a social engagement and was always the spirit of the gathering. This was evident early as a cheerleader captain in high school and lastly as the social coordinator for her senior housing residence. Her devotion to be the hardest working employee and her love for her sons, grandsons, and dogs was never questioned.
To Pam, her favorite social event to attend was one of her sons’ (or grandsons’) baseball games. Her passion for sports including her beloved Broncos and Rockies ran strong throughout her life.
She is survived by her two sons, Taylor (Janice) Goertz of Highlands Ranch, and Trevor Goertz of Bakersfield, California; brother, Bill (Patty) Angle of Henderson, Nevada; and grandsons, Tanner, Jayden, Riley, Peyton, Nathan, and Noah.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dallas Angle on March 25, 1996 and mother, Eunice Angle on February 12, 1995.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Bo Hill, Kurtis Beidleman, David Naibauer, Jeran Artery, Kevin Beckman, and Alex Gardner.
