PAMELA JEAN (LUOMA) CAIN

Pamela Jean Cain, passed away peacefully, surrounded by love, on Monday, September 29, 2025, after a brief but fierce battle with cancer at the age of 65 at the Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. 

She is survived by her children, Andrew Sine, Kristen Sine, and Elizabeth (Ryan) Nafziger; bonus kids, Jessicca Cain-Holland (Robert Smith), and Joseph Cain; grandchildren, Sturgill, Erika, Rory, Ryleigh, Zach, Logan, and Rachel; as well as siblings, Robert (Emily) Luoma II, Gretchen Adracie, and Sandy (Dave) Miller; and so many wonderful nieces and nephews.

 Pam was preceded in death by her husband, Willis "Bill" Cain Jr; bonus kid, Jonathan Cain (Chrissy Cain Moldovan); and son-in-law, Kevin Holland; as well as her parents, Robert "Bob" and Janet Luoma. 

Pam was born on Monday, December 21, 1959 in Lansing, Michigan, graduating from Eastern High School in 1978. Ferris State University followed, where she studied cosmetology. She later attended Michigan State University, earning a degree in social work. (Go Spartans!) She married Bill, the love of her life, and they moved to Wyoming. 

Pam and Bill always had an open door for friends, kids, and even animals. If someone was in a tough spot they would be picked up and brought home. That applied to kids and animals; they always brought in the strays. 

She lived her life to the fullest and always kept busy as a mom, Army wife, the best grandma, and enthusiastic volunteer. Over the years, Pam was involved in school PTA's, Girl Scouts, band booster club, the VFW, and the Patriot Guard Riders. She also loved being crafty; sewing, quilting, and lapidary were some of her favorite hobbies. Inheriting her dad's green thumb, her yard was full of beautiful flowers, especially sunflowers.

Pam loved to have fun! She was quite the party animal in the 80's, and was always ready for a rum and Diet Pepsi. She loved watching MSU football, and summers spent at the family cottage on Houghton Lake, Michigan were a cherished memory, and she later loved to travel around the country with Bill on his motorcycle.

Both gone too soon, Pam and Bill are reunited, forever to ride the smooth windy roads in Heaven.

A celebration of life will take place from 9:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. Saturday, October 25, 2025 at the Fort Laramie Community Center, 102 Otis Street, Fort Laramie, Wyoming. An escort to the cemetery will follow, kickstands up at 11:45 A.M. and will be traveling to Cheyenne National Cemetery at 8611 Hildreth Road, Cheyenne, Wyoming 82009.
