PATRICIA JOANN "PATSY" (FOSTER) MORRISON

A graveside service for Patricia Joann “Patsy” Morrison, 90, will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, March 15, 2024, at the Wheatland Cemetery in Wheatland, Wyoming with Pastor Joshua Bruns of the Covenant Lutheran Church officiating.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, March 15, 2024, at the Covenant Lutheran Church.

Patsy Morrison passed away on Friday, March 8, 2024, at the Platte County Memorial Hospital in Wheatland.

Patsy was born on Friday, June 30, 1933, in Evanston, Illinois, the daughter of John Wesley and Margaret (Orpet) Foster.

Patsy lived in Wilmette, Illinois; Hubbard Woods, Illinois; Winnetke, Illinois; and Glenview, Illinois. After graduating from Maine Township High School, she attended the University of Wyoming for a while. Patsy married Richard Neil Morrison on November 12, 1955, in Laramie, Wyoming.

Throughout her working life, Patsy was employed at Baxter Laboratories, the State of Wyoming, and the Wheatland Rural Electric Association, where she spent twenty-four years. Patsy was a member of the Covenant Lutheran Church and the Laramie River Club.

Some of her favorite past times included sewing, collecting antiques, playing pinochle, and spending time with her children. She fashioned and sewed many bridal veils for Wheatland brides. She was very fond of her dogs and cats.

Patsy is survived by her children, Lee Robert (Tonya) Morrison of Wheatland and Leslie Ann (Jason) Mickelson of Carpenter, Wyoming; grandchildren, Clay Morrison, Alison Mickelson of Canyon, Texas, and Jason “Ozzy” Mickelson of McGuire Aire Force Base in New Jersey; several cousins; two nephews, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Morrison, on October 2, 2021; father, John Foster, on August 13, 1994; mother, Margaret Foster, on September 20, 2007; and brother, John Wesley Foster, on October 9, 1966.
