PHYLLIS ETTA (WHITTAKER) HIGGINS

Phyllis Etta (Whittaker) Higgins, 83, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2024, at Banner Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, Wyoming, surrounded by her loved ones.

Phyllis Higgins was born on Sunday, June 1, 1941, in Wheatland, Wyoming, to Margueritte (Moore) and Caldwell Whittaker, Phyllis was the youngest of seven children and a true mama’s girl. After a previous marriage, she met Robert Higgins, and the two were married on December 29, 1977. Phyllis was known for her fiery spirit, always full of jokes, sarcasm, and playful gestures. Her vibrant personality remained strong until the very end.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and two children.

She is survived by her daughters, Susan Merritt and Leilani Swain; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

 A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Phyllis’s memory may be made to the Bingo program at the VFW
