ROBERT BOB BRITTON

Robert “Bob” Britton passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at the Memorial Hospital of Converse County in Douglas, Wyoming at the age of 80.

Bob was born Monday, July 28, 1941 the son of Ralph and Helen (LeBlanc) Britton in Crawford, Nebraska.  He later attended and graduated from Southeast Community College in Milford, Nebraska.  It was at this time Bob and Bonnie (Sykora) Britton were married and moved to Douglas to begin their life together.  This union produced two daughters, Crystal Lee and Bobbi Jean.  Bob designed and built a home for his family which was lived in for the past 52 years.  Bob retired from Peabody Coal at the age of 59, as a master diesel mechanic and supervisor.

Bob never met a stranger.  He loved conversing with people he met on daily walks.  When not walking or having coffee with other gentlemen his passion was his garden.  His garden gave him satisfaction only rivaled by the vegetables yielded and shared with his neighbors. 

Bob was proud to be an American, a Wyomingite, and a citizen of “Dogs Ass.” (Quoted by Bob)

Bob will be missed by his mother, Helen Britton; sisters, Marlene and Margie all from Nebraska; daughters, Crystal (Dave) Thompson and Bobbi (Mike) Lemler; grandchildren, Nathan, Trevor, and Nicholas; and great grandchildren, Aiden, Dahlia, Roselle, and Cyprus.

Funeral services will be held at Gorman Funeral Homes-Converse Chapel on Friday, September 17 2021 at 11:00 A.M. followed by a Celebration of Life at the Jackalope Town Square in downtown Douglas.

After a brief separation Bob and Bonnie have been reunited.
