ROBERT "BOB" WAYNE GLADSON

Funeral services for Robert Wayne “Bob” Gladson, 80, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 24, 2023 at the Frontier Baptist Church in Douglas, Wyoming with Pastor Tim Ricker officiating.

Bob Gladson passed away Monday, November 13, 2023 at the Memorial Hospital of Converse County in Douglas surrounded by his loved ones.

Bob was born Tuesday, March 9, 1943 in Lusk, Wyoming the son of Lynard Asa and Leila Marie (Rathbun) Gladson. On November 13, 2023, Bob Gladson passed away at the Memorial Hospital of Converse County surrounded by his loved ones.  To this union was born, three sons, Donnie, Ronnie, and Bob being the youngest. He went to primary school in Manville Wyoming and high school in Lusk and Moorcroft Wyoming.

For most of Bob ‘s career, he worked as a heavy equipment operator, mechanic, welder, and on road construction in and around Wyoming. He has worked in the states of Nebraska, South Dakota, and Montana building highways and railroad beds.

In 1959, he met Patricia Currey. They married on June 9, 1963 in Newcastle Wyoming. To this union two children were born Dana Kay and Robert DeWayne “Rob” Gladson.

Bob loved spending time with his family, friends and dog Oakley. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, camping, riding side-by-sides in the mountains, boating at the lake, and working on guns. His favorite thing to do was ride snow machines in the Big Horns, on the Wintermote Ranch, and the Laramie Peak Range. His favorite snow machine trip was one that the family took with good friends Steve Wintermote, Dale and Joan Wright and their children Todd and Anita. This snow machine trip took them through Yellowstone National Park.

Before his children were in school full time, the family enjoyed moving from job to job seeing Wyoming, finally settling in Douglas.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Pat; his daughter Dana (Scott) Cobb; his son, Rob Gladson; two granddaughters, Darcy Cobb (Jeff) and Sierra (Raymond) Geho; three great grandsons, Morgan, Trait and Daven Geho; brother, Ronnie (Twila) Gladson; and many nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his father, Lynard, on June 21, 2000; mother, Leila, on August 22, 2001; and brother, Donnie Gene Gladson, on December 28, 2018.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Douglas Senior Citizens Center, P.O. Box 192, Douglas, Wyoming 82633 would be appreciated by the family.
