ROBERT "BOB" ALAN MARTIN

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Alan Martin, fondly known as Bob Martin, who departed this world at the age of 64. Born Monday, November 30th 1959 in Wheatland, Wyoming to Elmer Joseph and Jean Genevra (Williams) Martin and passed Friday, December 15th 2023. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Bob left an indelible mark on the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Bob was a skilled and passionate mechanic, dedicating his life to the art of fixing things and ensuring the smooth operation of machinery. His hands, calloused from years of hard work, were a testament to his commitment to his craft.

Beyond the garage, Bob had a love for the simple joys of life. He was an avid rock hunter, finding solace in the great outdoors and discovering the beauty hidden within the Earth's treasures. His collection of rocks became a reflection of his keen eye for the extraordinary in the ordinary.

Big Bob’s boisterous voice and quirky ways endeared him to everyone he met. His kindness, coupled with a strong work ethic, served as an inspiration to his family and friends. He will be remembered for his unwavering support and the countless memories created during family gatherings and rock-hunting adventures.

In his 64 years, Bob Martin lived a life of purpose, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and a deep appreciation for the simple pleasures that make life meaningful. As we mourn his loss, let us also celebrate the vibrant spirit that touched us all.

Bob Martin is survived by his loving wife, Sherrie Martin; children, Nicole and Michael; grandkids, Kiler, Allyssa, Tyah, Erica, and Dylan; and siblings, Val, Neb, Carol, Brad, and Barb who will carry his memory in their hearts.

 Bob is preceded in death by his father, Elmer; his mother, Jean; sister, Linda; brother, Bill; his in laws, Doris and Otto, as well as other loved ones. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the rocks he cherished and the warmth of the memories he leaves behind.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 4:00 P.M. Friday, December 29, 2023 at the Trinity Baptist Church, 1424 Griffith Way, Douglas, Wyoming with Pastor Tom Strock officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Laramie Peak Humane Society, P.O. Box 463, Douglas, Wyoming 82633 or Central Wyoming Hospice Home, 319 South Wilson Street, Casper, Wyoming 82601 would be appreciated by the family.
