ROSA LEE GREEN

A funeral liturgy for the Rosa Lee Green, 77, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 17, 2024 at the Saint Anthony’s Catholic Church in Guernsey, Wyoming with Father Ray Moss as the Celebrant.  Inurnment will take place at a later date.

Rosa Green passed away on Friday, June 28, 2024 at the Platte County Legacy Home in Wheatland, Wyoming.

Rosa was born on February 15, 1947 in Wheatland the daughter of Robley Aaron and Christinia (Haik) Green.

Rosa was reared and educated in Guernsey.  She worked very closely with her family in the family restaurant helping doing just about anything for them.  Once the family sold the restaurant she went to work at Crazy Tony’s for a short time.

Some of her hobbies included lots and lots of reading and going to the senior center where she loved visiting with her many friends that were very instrumental in her daily life.  Rosa loved calling her family members up and visiting with them to keep up in all their lives.  She was a long-time member of the Saint Anthony’s Catholic Church and the VFW Women’s Auxiliary in Guernsey.  Rosa was loved by many people, which included the whole town of Guernsey.  Everyone was always looking out for Rosa. 

She was survived by her brother, Larry Green of Buffalo, Wyoming; brother-in-law, Mike Barnhart of Cheyenne, Wyoming; sister-in-law, Patty Green of Des Moines, Iowa; four nieces; four nephews; three great nieces; four great nephews; ten great-great nieces and nephews; and a very dear friend for over 30 years, Fritzie Walsh and her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Joe Green and Pete Green; sister, Mari Ann Barnhart; and one great nephew.

The family wants to send a very special thank you to her senior center family, Mistina Smith, Shirley Howell, Bailey Orr, Sandi Jensen, Cheri Warner, Aliyah Smith, Shiela Oliver, and Al Montgomery.  They would also like to thank Dr. Lauri Palmer and the staff at the Legacy Home for taking such good care of her.
