SHARON LYNN (ELIXMAN) KENNEDY

No funeral services will be held for Sharon Lynn Kennedy, 66.  A private family visitation was held on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at the Gorman Funeral Homes – Converse Chapel in Douglas, Wyoming.

Sharon died Monday, May 10, 2021 at the Central Wyoming Hospice Home in Casper, Wyoming.

She was born Saturday, September 4, 1954 in Astoria, Oregon the daughter of Herman “Cookie” and Patricia (Marshall) Elixman.  Sharon was raised and educated in Spokane, Washington graduating from Holy Names High School, where she was a cheerleader for Gonzaga Prep High School.  She attended Gonzaga University for three years.  Her work as a legal secretary took her to Washington, D.C. working on Capitol Hill for several years.  Sharon resided in Fayetteville, Arkansas to be near her grandchildren and came to Douglas in October, 2019 because of her health to be near her son, Nicholas.  Sharon enjoyed herself at the Douglas Senior Citizens Center, where she made new friends.

She is survived by her two sons, Marshall (Lisa) Kuhlman and their son, Elisha Fisk of Fayetteville and Nicholas Kuhlman and his children, James, Ethan, and Lily Kuhlman and their mother, Cassie Kuhlman all of Douglas and siblings Steve Elixman and Suzun Leyde both of Spokane.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and her sons’ father, Russell Dean Kuhlman, on December 31, 2019.

The Gorman Funeral Homes – Converse Chapel of Douglas, Wyoming is in charge of the arrangements.
