SHERRY ANN (GOODRICH) CLINE

Sherry Ann Cline, 73, left us suddenly and went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 13th, 2024.  Sherry was a patient at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, Wyoming at the time of her death.

Sherry was born on Thursday, August 23rd, 1951 in Burwell, Nebraska to Lester Robert “Pete” Goodrich and Nellie Lucille (Smith) Goodrich.  She graduated from Burwell High School in 1969.  Sherry met the love of her life, David Cline, before graduating high school.  They dated until David went into the United States Army.  When David got back from Vietnam, David and Sherry got married in Burwell, Nebraska on April 23rd, 1971.  From this union they had a daughter, Jennifer.

After they got married, they worked on road construction and moved all over the country.  In 1978 they came to Bill, Wyoming and they decided to make Bill their home. 

Sherry was a very hard worker.  She was a CNA and worked at the Douglas Senior Citizens Center for many years and then she was a teacher’s aide for the Dry Creek Country School in Bill. 

Sherry liked to sew, do needle point, read, and loved to cook and bake for her friends and family. 

Sherry is survived by her husband, David Cline, of 53 years, of Bill; daughter, Jennifer Cline, of Bill; grandkids, Cody Cline of Bill, Kayley (Blake) Nielsen of Harris, Iowa, and T.J. (Maggie) Cline of Douglas, Wyoming; sister, Linda (Dennis) Ptacnik of Ord, Nebraska; brother, Gale (Cheryle) Goodrich of Marquette, Nebraska; and sister-in-law, Candy Goodrich of Gordon, Nebraska.

Sherry was preceded in death by her father, Pete, on October 1, 1990; mother, Nellie, on April 19, 2003; brother, Gary Goodrich, on April 16, 2011; and sister, Wanda Goodrich, on October 19, 2021.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 28th, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at the Douglas Baptist Church, 135 Pearson Road, Douglas, Wyoming with Pastor Brad Jenkins officiating.  A visitation for family and friends will be held at the church on Monday from 11:30 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.  Interment will be in the Douglas Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials to the Sherry Ann Cline Memorial Fund in care of the Converse County Bank, P.O. Box 689, Douglas, Wyoming 82633 would be appreciated by the family.
