SHIRLEY JEAN (RALLS) DALY

A funeral service for Shirley Jean Daly, 87, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, November 3, 2022, at Faith Fellowship in Guernsey, Wyoming with Pastor Jason Miller officiating. Cremation will follow in accordance with Shirley’s wishes.

Shirley Daly passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, surrounded by her loving family.

Shirley was born Wednesday, October 16, 1935, in Chillicothe, Missouri to John Franklin and Marjorie Neola (Corbin) Ralls.  The family made their way to Wyoming where Shirley graduated from Guernsey-Sunrise High School. On January 29, 1954 Shirley married Larry Daly and together they moved to Fort Carson, Colorado where Larry joined the United States Army.  From Colorado they moved to California making their way back to Wyoming in 1963 to settling in Guernsey in 1975 where they still remained.  Shirley dedicated her life to being a homemaker to her family she so loved and adored.

Some of Shirley’s hobbies included gardening, working in her flower beds, her yard, and most of all her faith. She enjoyed going to Bible study. 

Shirley is survived by her husband, Larry Daly; children, Colleen Daly, Jody Martinez, Darrell (Dawndrea) Daly, and Erin Daly; nine grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; siblings, LaQuaetta King, Sandra Kay Ralls, and Rocky Ralls.

She is preceded in death by her father, John on October 28, 1978; mother, Marjorie on November 13, 1999; children, Eva Martinez and Larry Daly; siblings, John Darrell Ralls, Linda Lou Howard, Ramona Coral Knott, Danny Wade Ralls, and Ricky Ralls; and in-laws, Lawrence and Eva Daly.

The Gorman Funeral Homes – Platte Chapel of Wheatland are in charge of the arrangements.
