Stephen Arlyn Kelley, 55, died Thursday, July 1, 2021 at his home in Guernsey, Wyoming.
Stephen was born on Monday, December 27, 1965, in Lovington, New Mexico the son of Stephen H. Kelley and Deloris K. (Moss) Granke.
Steve spent most of his life growing up in Guernsey, Wyoming where he graduated high school, worked, and lived up until his death. He married Wendy Kelley in October of 1988 and had two daughters, Josey and Chelsey.
Steve was an extremely hardworking and loving man, with a big heart. He cared deeply and strongly for his family and friends. He was willing to drop everything to help anyone in need and was the type of person who would have given you the shirt off his back. He was an incredibly supportive and loving son, brother, uncle, husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, was an active hunter and outdoorsman, and was an amazing cook. Steve was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Steve is survived by his wife, Wendy Kelley of Guernsey; daughters, Josey (Nathaniel) Brown of Livingston, Montana, and Chelsey Kelley of Fort Laramie, Wyoming; grandchildren, Leah Kelley, Locklynn Grant, and Birch Brown; mother, Deloris Granke of Guernsey; father, Steve Kelley of Guernsey; siblings, Tammy (Steve) Orszulak and Shannon (Mindy) Kelley both of Guernsey; uncle, Danny (Vicki) Moss of Guernsey; uncle, Bounce (Rita) Haefele of Casa Grande, Arizona; mother-in-law, Linda Lay of Wheatland, Wyoming; brother-in-law, Troy (Lu) Lay of Wheatland; sister-in-law, Martie (Scott) Dunlap of Guernsey; nephews, Cole and Cord Orszulak, Tyler and Ryan Lay, Taylor and Wyatt Dunlap, Chase Kelley; niece, Afton Kelley; numerous cousins, and many close friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mabel and Sterling Kelley; maternal grandparents, Arlyn and Doris Moss; step-father, Charles Granke; step-mother, Peggy Kelley; father-in-law, Jim Lay; uncles, Sterling (Sonny) Kelley and Stan Gillespie; aunts, Beatrice Gillespie, Clara Bird, Frances (Dolly) Haefele, and Dagmar Kelley; and numerous cousins.
Private services for close family and friends will be held at a later date.
