A Celebration of Life service will be held for Steven Lee Amble, 60, at 2:30 P.M. Saturday, December 30, 2023 at the First Baptist Church, 209 South Fourth Street in Doulgas, Wyoming with Pastors Bill Williamson and Zack Andrews officiating.  A visitation will be held at the Gorman Funeral Homes – Converse Chapel, 1147 Cheyenne Street on Saturday from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.  A reception will be held immediately following the Celebration of Life service at the Samuel Mares American Legion Post #8, 101 South Sixth Street.

Steve passed on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at the Memorial Hospital of Converse County in Douglas due to injuries received in a motor vehicle accident.

He was born Friday, October 25, 1963 in Rolette, North Dakota the son of Quentin Otto and Carol (Bishop) Amble.  Steve was raised and educated in Rolette and graduated from high school in 1981.  He moved to Williston, North Dakota where he worked for a tire company as a tire man.  In 1996 he moved to Gillette, Wyoming to work for Cobra Tire Company, and in 1997 a move to Douglas to first work for Glenrock Coal and at the time of his death he was working for South Antelope Coal Mine as a tire man

Steve married JuDee Renee’ (Christensen) Heidelbauer in July, 1993 in Williston. 

He enjoyed basketball, volleyball, softball, playing darts, hunting, fishing, playing golf, but what brought him the most joy was his grandchildren, wife, and children.

He is survived by his wife, JuDee Amble of Douglas; mother, Carol Hoffart of Grassy Butte, North Dakota; children, Zachory (Kristin) Heidelbauer of Douglas, Breanna (Nick) Holland of Douglas, Jameson Amble of Douglas, Quentin Amble of Casper, Wyoming, and Brendon Amble of Douglas; brother, Brian Amble of Williston; and grandchildren, Deacon, Shelby, Ashus, Preston, Otto, Birdie, and Millie.

Steve was preceded in death by his father, Quentin, and sister, Carla Boyd.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Zachory Heidelbauer, Nick Holland, Jameson Amble, Quentin Amble, Brendon Amble, and Deacon Heidelbauer.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Steven’s Memorial Fund in care of Converse County Bank, P.O. Box 689, Douglas, Wyoming 82633 would be appreciated by the family.
