SUSAN DIANA (PARKE) HIDER

Susan Diana (Parke) Hider, age 58, of Glenrock, Wyoming, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at UC Health Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, Colorado.

Susan was born on Sunday, May 28, 1967, in Detroit, Michigan, to John R. Parke and Lillian Gwendolyn Parke. Susan was the youngest of eight children in her family. She grew up surrounded by a loving family and carried that same love and warmth throughout her life.

Susan graduated from Bishop Gallagher High School in Harper Woods, Michigan. In 1997, she welcomed her daughter Kayla into the world. In August of 2006 she met her husband, Bob. A short while later, in May of 2007 they were married. 

Susan found her greatest joy in spending time with her grandchildren, Kaysn and Lilah, who were the light of her world. Whether she was tending to her garden, working on DIY projects, or sharing a laugh with family, Susan’s creativity and kindness shone through in everything she did.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents, John Parke on December 1, 1992 and Lillian Parke on July 22, 2008, and sister-in-law, Stacy L. Parke on September 5,2025.

She is survived by her devoted husband Bob; beloved daughter Kayla; precious grandchildren Kaysn and Lilah; and numerous brothers, sisters, in-laws, nieces, and nephews, all of whom will carry her memory in their hearts.

Susan’s presence brought comfort, laughter, and beauty to those around her. She will be remembered for her vibrant personality, her green thumb, and her ability to make everyone feel welcome and loved. 

A celebration of life will be held at Douglas Fire Training Facility, 212 North Second Street, Douglas, Wyoming at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 8, 2025. This will be a potluck so please bring your favorite dish to share!

Inurnment will be in the Ridge Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Oxford, Michigan in July, 2026.
