TERESA HIEBERT Obituary

Some angels receive their wings long before their time seems fair. Teresa was one of those angels. In the early morning hours of Friday, September 9th, 2022 the Lord decided her wings were a priority. Teresa was a light in the lives of all who were blessed to know her. She was a stranger to no one, and a friend to everyone. She was born on Saturday, June 8th, 1963 in Saint Anthony, Idaho to Richard Eugene and Anna Belle (Geyer) Swaner. She spent the early years of her life in Idaho, later moved to Butte, Montana. In 1976 Richard packed up his family for work, and brought them to small town Douglas, Wyoming, where she would spend the remainder of her days. Soon after moving to Wyoming Teresa’s life changed. At a very young age Teresa became a mother. She welcomed her only daughter, Tiffany, into the world. She embraced motherhood, and made it her priority. Not long after she welcomed a son, Jason. With the help of both families Teresa took on single motherhood. Until 1984 When she met Lonnie, the absolute love of her life. Lonnie was her knight, and shining armor. He loved Teresa, and completely embraced her children. So much so, that he later adopted them. Her family was her life, and being a stay-at-home mom was her calling. Home cooked meals at the dinner table, and church on Sunday were a staple for many years. Her love of caring for others transitioned into her role as a grandmother. In 2001 she was overjoyed with pride when her first grandson Bryce was born. She had a huge hand in helping raise Bryce. They became best friends, and almost inseparable. Throughout the years she would welcome 4 more grandchildren. All with whom she loved dearly, and raved about constantly. Teresa found many hobbies throughout her life. If shopping was one, she’d have mastered it. When her kids had grown, and her grandkids started school she took it upon herself to learn the art of pin striping, which would turn into a side gig alongside Lonnie’s paint and body business. She had a love for muscle cars. She helped Lonnie in the restoration of her very own 1967 GTO. She rode a Harley, loved Jesus, took pride in her beautiful yard, and loved watching old tv programs with her dad. Later in her life she started work at Irwin Towers. There she met Kathy Johnson who, would become her best friend. Kathy was a huge part of getting Teresa through rough days after her cancer treatments. Through her work at the towers Teresa made incredible friendships. She truly was a ray of light. Teresa was preceded in death by her father, Richard Swaner, on August 10th, 2018.

She is survived by her mother, Anna Belle Swaner; husband, Lonnie Hiebert; daughter, Tiffany Hiebert; son, Jason Hiebert; grandchildren, Bryce Tschida, Tessa Bailey-Tschida, Kalynn Tschida, Brady Tschida, Marrisa Hiebert, and Jace Hiebert; her uncle, David Goldsmith; sister, Brenda Powell; and brother, Jeff Swaner.
