TERRY ANN (HOSACK) CUMMINGS

Terry Ann (Hosack) Cummings, was born Thursday, March 28,1957, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at the young age of 63 surrounded by her son, Christopher, and his wife, Neomi. Terry was a kind and loving person. If she knew you needed help with something, she would be there lending a helpful hand in whatever way she could or offering up a friendly shoulder to cry on. She could also put a smile on your face and make you laugh if that is all you may have needed. During her life in Eaton Rapids, Michigan Terry worked at numerous places like Nick’s Pizza, The River’s Edge, The Keg, Quality Dairy, Arby’s in both Charlotte, Michigan and Mason, Michigan, Carter’s, and lastly Rite Aid. If you were a frequent patron, she took the time to get to know you better and didn’t treat you like just another customer. Along with working at those places she could be found working for families or individuals in need of having their houses cleaned. No matter what position she may have held or whom she may have worked for, Terry treated everyone like family. After living in the Eaton Rapids area for 61 very enjoyable years, she finally retired from Rite Aid and moved to Douglas, Wyoming to be close to her son Christopher and his family as well as enjoy her retirement. Terry approached her new life in Douglas the same that she did in Eaton Rapids and that was everyone she met was a new friend to be made. In her short time in Douglas, she was able to create some wonderful new friends. While Terry left most of her family back in Michigan, she was able to blend into Neomi’s family and become like a second mom, grandma, and friend to the family in Wyoming. She dearly loved Neomi’s nieces who called her Miss Terry or GGT. She also was very happy to have “additional” children that she could give a hard time too. Terry was loved by many and will be deeply missed. Just know that she is still “just ducky” and waiting for us just over yonder.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Marion Smith; step father, Paul Smith; and her older brothers, George and James Hosack, along with many other family members and friends.

Terry leaves behind her son, Christopher (Neomi) Cummings; grandson, Thomas Cummings; and her younger brother, Todd Smith.  

Funeral services will be held in Douglas, Wyoming on Thursday January 14th, 2021 at 5:00 P.M. at Gorman Funeral Homes – Converse Chapel with visitation from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. before the service. Pastor Frank Wiederrecht of The Gathering will be the officiant.

 In lieu of flowers the family has set up a memorial account in Terry’s name at Converse County Bank, P.O. Box 689, Douglas, Wyoming 82633.

A second funeral service will be held in Eaton Rapids, Michigan at Skinner’s Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 20, 2021 with Pastor Jim Riley of the Eaton Rapids Assembly of God Church officiating.  Interment will be in the Perry Cemetery in Brookfield Township, Charlotte, Michigan.

A visitation will be held at the Skinner Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
