Thomas Michael “Bunny” Hogan, 67, was born in Valentine, Nebraska on Easter Day, April 6, 1958 the son of Thomas Ira and Marilyn Ruth (Cournoyer) Hogan.
He passed away after a sudden heart attack on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, Wyoming.
Tom was proud of his Lakota Sioux heritage as a descendent of Chief Spotted Tail. A member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe, he grew up helping his family train quarter horses on their ranch in Rosebud, South Dakota. He graduated from Todd County High School in Mission, South Dakota in 1976, and he went on to earn his welding degree from Mitchell Technical College, and later became well-known for his pipe welding and fabricating.
In his younger years, Tom enjoyed saddle bronc riding and rodeos. After marrying his wife, Cindy Hogan, in 1989, he settled down in Douglas, Wyoming until they relocated to Beatrice, Nebraska in 2014, where he worked for the City of Beatrice.
Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Ann (Burley) Hogan; his father, Thomas Ira Hogan; his brother, Brian Hogan, and his niece, Tawnee Hogan.
He was survived by his mother, Marilyn Ruth (Cournoyer) Hogan; brothers, Kevin, James (Jacque), and Charles (Kathy) Hogan, and his sister, Beth Ann (Everett) Hogan; his children: Melissa (Fred) Daugherty, Tammy Jo Hogan, Amanda (Carl) Fanning, A’ndrea (Joe) Lorraine, and Michael (Steffany) Hogan; and his grandchildren: Kayleen (Cody) Olson & Payten Daugherty; Anthony Henson; Aubrie, Andrew & Caleb Fanning; Emmarie & Jace Lorraine; and Willow, Avery & AnnDee Hogan; and his great grandson, Wells Olson; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Tom celebrated 38 years of sobriety, and enjoyed supporting his children and grandchildren. He was often found snuggling his youngest grandchildren and cheering on the older grandchildren at their various school and sporting events! He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his passion for the Green Bay Packers, and the Nebraska Cornhuskers, and love for his family!
Friends and family are invited to attend the funeral services at Gorman Funeral Homes-Converse Chapel in Douglas, Wyoming on Friday, March 27, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. with Pastor Zack Andrews of First Baptist Church in Douglas officiating, Inurnment and memorial services will be held at a later date at the Douglas Park Cemetery.
