A Celebration of Life service will be held for Timothy Gerald Fellows, 65, on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at the Gorman Funeral Homes-Converse Chapel, 1147 Cheyenne Street, Douglas, Wyoming. Immediately following a reception will be held at the Samuel Mares American Legion Post #8, 101 South Sixth Street, Douglas, Wyoming.
Timothy died from an unexpectant cardiac event Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at his home near Douglas with his wife, Lori, at his side.
Tim, one of ten children, was born Sunday, April 3, 1960 at Butte, Montana the son of Lewis Mendina and Eleanor Louise (Cony) Fellows. He was raised in Butte and went to Saint Patrick’s Catholic School, where he learned his love of God. He attended Webster Garfield School with so many of his childhood friends, many of them still to this day. Tim was a phenomenal baseball player in the Longfellow Little League, and then on to the Majors Division. Even when visiting Butte later in life he would be remembered by his athletic performance by acquaintances.
In 1974 Tim’s parents moved to Whitehall, Montana. He excelled in sports and his love of horses. Tim graduated high school and went into the United States Army in 1978, where he was a “Good Foot Soldier”, as he was referred to. After his discharge Tim was in the reserves for six years.
He worked many jobs in construction and worked alongside his brother, Butch, logging together. His job at Montana Resources was the job of a lifetime. He loved working there as it was only a five-minute drive from home. Together Tim and Lori built a jackleg fence north of Walkerville on the Moulton Reservoir Road. He was a very hardworking man and his work ethics were to compare to none! He was a jack of trades, but a master of a few. Always had a tractor, truck, or an engine that needed something. He loved to tinker.
In 2000 Montana Resources closed down for a while, which led to a life change. He moved to Wyoming. Together with his wife, Lori, and daughter, Amanda, they bought land, built a home, fenced it, brought in power, septic, a well, and a road. They filled this home with love, family, friends, and treasures. They also brought their horses from Montana with outstanding breeding lines, “Along Came a Spider”, from Brigg’s Ranch in Whitehall, Montana.
Tim was an athlete until his death. He loved to ride his horse, Joker. Loved to hunt with his wife and with many of his family and friends! Horn hunting was a walk here and a ride there. Tim loved his Harley “Black Betty” and took many trips with his wife! Yes, Sturgis was involved along with Red Lodge, Montana. He went to the four corners of the USA. His bike was like his horse. He treated them with love and compassion. Always taking care of them.
He loved to love and was the best man known to many. Quick with a smile and his laugh was considered HARDY!
He retired in April of 2023, which was the best thing he ever did. Riding the bus, 18-hour days, and the snow was enough. He had various jobs at NARM (North Antelope Rochelle Mine). He operated heavy equipment and at the end he was a driller. He had many friends there and never missed going back to work. He talked everyday to Dick, always trying to figure the world out.
Tim is survived by his wife, Lori Fellows, of Douglas, Wyoming; children, Amanda Fellows Bishop (Nathan) of Rapid City, South Dakota, Heather Cullen (Dana) of Kennewick, Washington, and Michael Alsup (Cassie) of Wartburg, Tennessee; grandchildren, Elijah Bishop, Ethan Bishop, Isaiah Bishop, Everett Bishop, Dessie Alsup, Emma Cullen, and Samuel Cullen; and siblings, Alan (Sharon) Fellows of Butte, Linda (Emil) Berry of Boise, Idaho, Eleanor (Robert) Campbell of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Cheryl (Willis) Cook of Butte, Susan (Charles) Leone of Leesburg, Virginia, Mary Yates of Sparks, Neveda, Lewis (Nancy) Fellows of Butte, Jeffrey (Vicki) Fellows of Butte, and Gregory (Christine) Fellows of Sparks.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis, on September 19, 2002 and his mother, Eleanor, on July 8, 2019.
