Velton Leroy and Elise A. Brewer

A funeral service to celebrate the lives of Velton Leroy Brewer and Elsie A. Brewer will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church in Wheatland, Wyoming, with Pastor Phil Benson officiating.

Velton Leroy Brewer passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, in Casper, Wyoming. His beloved wife, Elsie A. Brewer, preceded him in death on Sunday, June 9, 2024, in Wheatland. Together, they shared 73 years of marriage, a bond that was the foundation of their lives. Their love for each other was unwavering, and their marriage was a true testament to their commitment, faith, and dedication.

Velton was born on an Indian Reservation in Pontotoc, Oklahoma, and Elsie was born in Bonnieville Dam, Oregon. Throughout their lives, they moved to various places, but they found their home in Wheatland,  in 1994, where they lived out their years together. In their time in Wheatland, they made lasting memories, enjoying their love for hunting and traveling.

Velton was fondly known as "the jelly man," as he shared his love for making jelly with Elsie, bringing joy to family and friends with each jar. After Elsie's passing, Velton found comfort and strength in his faith, becoming an active member of the First Baptist Church and deepening his spiritual journey.

Velton and Elsie leave behind a legacy of love, faith, and devotion to each other and their family. They will be deeply missed but will forever be remembered for the bond they shared and the love they gave to all who knew them.

Velton and Elsie are survived by daughter, Barbara Ann Brewer of Wheatland; grandsons, Philip (Becky) Murray of Casper and Robert (Jessica) Murray of Wheatland; grandchildren, Jesse, Kasey, Ellie, David, Tyler, and Milisa Murray; Velton's siblings, Marion Claude and Mary Ann Brewer; and Elsie's siblings, Gavin and Ann.
