A Celebration of Life service will be held for Wayne Albert Paris, 81, from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Wayne’s Z Lazy Y Ranch, 112 Z Lazy Y Ranch Road, Douglas, Wyoming.
Wayne died Sunday, October 31, 2021 at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, Wyoming.
He was born Friday, October 25, 1940 in Methuen, Massachusetts the son of Albert Joseph and Mae (Duhamel) Paris. He was raised and educated in Methuen and graduated from the Methuen High School in 1958. He moved to Pelham, New Hampshire where he farmed prior to entering the United State Army in 1966 and was discharged in 1969. Following his discharge, he moved to Douglas where he started his career in ranching. In 1975 he purchased a ranch east of Douglas, which he named Z Lazy Y Ranch. He worked in the mining industry in the Douglas area as a shovel operator for several years. Following his retirement from Peabody Energy he started working his ranch and trucking business full time until the time of his death.
Wayne enjoyed his visits with his friends, old tractors, and tractor pull contests.
He is survived by his children, Bruce (Barbara) Paris of Derry, New Hampshire, Karen (Nathan) Clark of Alton, New Hampshire, Brian (Tracey) Paris of Douglas, Shelly Martin of Crowheart, Wyoming, and Cameo Lorenz of Douglas; brother, John Paris, of Chester, New Hampshire; eleven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Keith Paris.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Converse County 4-H Program, 1839 Madora Avenue, Douglas, Wyoming 82633 would be appreciated by the family.
