WAYNE RIEHLE Obituary

Wayne Henry Riehle, 85, was called home by God to heaven on Sunday, June 13, 2021, at Memorial Hospital of Converse County in Douglas, Wyoming.

Funeral services will be held at Douglas Baptist Church, 135 Pearson Drive, Douglas, Wyoming on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor David Dick officiating.  Interment will follow at Douglas Park Cemetery with military honors accorded by the Samuel Mares American Legion Post #8 and Wyoming Army National Guard Military Funeral Honors

Wayne Riehle was born on Monday, May 11, 1936, to August Henry and Ela “June” (Good) Riehle in Douglas, Wyoming, and was the oldest of two children. Wayne grew up in Converse County on the family ranch near Bill. He attended rural school during grade school and graduated from Douglas High School in 1954. Wayne continued to work and live on the family ranch after high school. He married Georgia Ann Amsden in Douglas on September 24, 1961, and had three children: Pamela, Lori, and John. He served two terms in the United States Army before returning to and running the ranch with his family.

Wayne was a member of Walker Creek Sunday School, the Wyoming Pioneer Association, and the Deer Creek Grazing Association, of which he served as president for many years. He loved to travel with his wife, driving across the country and living in their camper during the winter. He was committed throughout his life to his family, community, and the Lord.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Georgia Riehle of Douglas; children, Pamela (Dave) Dick of Douglas, Lori (Scott) Breitbarth of Douglas, and John Riehle of Douglas; grandchildren, Joshua Swoyer of Fargo, North Dakota, Brandon (Sarah) Swoyer of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Taylor Dick of Douglas, Colton Dick of Douglas, Megan Dick of Omaha, Nebraska, and Sierra Bailey of Douglas; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is also survived by his sister, Donna Dixon of Lance Creek.

Wayne is preceded in death by his father, August, on February 19,1995, and mother, June October 17, 2006.

A memorial to In Faith, 145 John Robert Thomas Drive, Exton, Pennsylvania 19341 or Alzheimer’s Association – Wyoming Chapter, 2232 Dell Range Boulevard, Suite 101, Cheyenne, Wyoming 82009 would be appreciated by the family.
