Sharon Kay Gallinger, 76, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at the Douglas Care Center in Douglas, Wyoming.

Sharon was born on Sunday, May 18, 1941 in Omaha, Nebraska to Donald W. and Charlotte (Marcan) Syas.

She married Hilmar “Rusty” Roessing and together they had two sons and a daughter. They later divorced.
She was than married to James J. Gallinger and this reunion brought another daughter into the family.

Sharon was well known for being a crossing guard at Eastside Elementary School and later on for being a
Teacher’s aide in the Worland School district and also worked for Hedge Music.

After retiring she lived many places before settling down in Douglas, Wyoming

Sharon’s greatest joys were her children and grandchildren as well as her dogs.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James; her sister, Ruth Cole; and her beloved son, Michael Roessing.

She is survived by her son Martin Roessing of Flagstaff, Arizona; her daughters, Cindy Alley of Gillette, Wyoming and Shannon Gallinger of Killeen, Texas; her brother, Gary “Harv” (Terry) of Worland, Wyoming; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.

A service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 3, 2017 at Grace Lutheran Church in Worland, Wyoming with Dan Frederick officiating.

The Gorman Funeral Homes – Converse Chapel of Douglas, Wyoming is in charge of the arrangements.
